Schiffahrt der Inselgemeinde Langeoog – information about the company and ferries
The Schiffahrt der Inselgemeinde Langeoog is a municipal shipping company that has been responsible for passenger and freight transport between the German mainland (Bensersiel) and the car-free Wadden Island of Langeoog since 1927.
The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes and is operated by the ships Langeoog III and Langeoog IV, which can accommodate 800 and 350 passengers respectively. The Onkel Otto and Pionier are used for freight traffic. In addition to the regular ferry service, the shipping company also provides excursions to neighboring islands and offers an island train that takes travelers from the harbor to the center of Langeoog.
