Neuwerk Ferry – information about the crossing and ferries

The ferry service from Cuxhaven to Neuwerk provides a scenic and regular connection between the mainland and Germany’s smallest Wadden Sea island. Operated by Reederei Cassen Eils GmbH, the service runs seasonally from March through October with the passenger ship "Flipper". Departures are scheduled depending on tides and conditions, and the crossing from Cuxhaven’s “Alte Liebe” berth takes about 2 hours. Onboard catering is available. During periods of high demand, the ferry "Wappen von Cuxhaven" is also available as an additional vessel.

In addition to the ferry, Neuwerk can also be reached on foot via guided mudflat walks or by horse‑drawn mud wagon from Sahlenburg during low tide. Many visitors combine a boat trip with one of these classic Wadden Sea experiences. Die Fährverbindung von Cuxhaven nach Neuwerk bietet eine regelmäßige und malerische Verbindung zur kleinsten deutschen Watteninsel. Betrieben wird sie von Reederei Cassen Eils GmbH mit dem Passagierschiff MS "Flipper" von März bis Oktober. Bei starkem Besucheraufkommen kommt zusätzlich die MS "Wappen von Cuxhaven" zum Einsatz. Neuwerk kann außerdem zu Fuß über geführte Wattwanderungen oder mit der Pferdekutsche von Sahlenburg bei Niedrigwasser erreicht werden.
