During the summer months, an fast service to and from Heligoland is maintained from Hamburg via Cuxhaven and Busum. From the Dutch Eemshaven, AG Ems maintained the ferry service to Borkum under the name Borkumlijn. AG Ems was the first company to establish itself in the Eemshaven in 1976.
The Borkum services are maintained with the ferries Münsterland, Ostfriesland and Westfalen. Two fast catamarans Nordlicht and Nordlicht II and some tour boats. In addition, AG Ems operates als the Borkumer Kleinbahn.
