AG Reederei Norden-Frisia – information about the company and ferries

The AG Reederei Norden-Frisia was founded in 1917 through the merger of the shipping companies “Norden” and “Frisia”. Based on the East Frisian island of Norderney, AG Reederei Norden-Frisia operates from the mainland port of Norddeich, passenger and freight traffic to the North Sea islands of Norderney and Juist. Thanks to a sufficiently deep channel, traffic to Norderney is independent of the tide, while traffic to Juist is dependent on the tide. AG Reederei Norden-Frisia is also the largest shareholder in the North Frisian ferry operator Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei Föhr-Amrum GmbH.

In addition to the original ferry business, AG Reederei Norden-Frisia operates other maritime, tourist and logistical services through various subsidiaries. Subsidiaries Cassen –Tours Cassen Eils & Frisia Touristik GmbH offers excursions from the ports of Norddeich, Norderney, Juist and Greetsiel.
