28-06-2010: | Ran aground at Svendborgsund while entering Svendborg harbour with 1600 tonnes of soya. According to the captain, it was a race in the area that caused the grounding. The “UNO” ran aground as it tried to avoid a collision with boats participating in the Thurø-Tåsinge-Yacht-Race of the Thurø Sailing Club. |

The ship was said to have approached the sound with too much speed and then having turned directly towards the port instead of turning to starboard first. |
