| 05-07-2012: | The cable layer “TEAM OMAN” was in collision with the “HYDRA” on the Kiel Canal at Breiholz on July 5, 2012, at 1.40 a.m. The “TEAM OMAN” enroute Karlskrona-Portland got in touch with the passing “HYDRA” which was enroute Bremen-Muuga, both ships suffered dents at the hull. No injuries reported. The ships were able to continue their voyages. The “TEAM OMAN” berthed in Brunsbuettel for investigations around 5 a.m. and proceeded at noon. The “HYDRA” berthed in the Scheer Port in Kiel around 6 a.m. |
