01-10-1994:Christined by Mrs. Annemarie Jorritsma-Lebbink (then Minister of Transport and Water Management) and launched.
21-10-1994:Departed from Wartena to Lemmer.
24-10-1994:Installation of superstructure at Scheepswerf Friesland B.V., Lemmer.
01-02-1995:Sea trials.

07-12-2010:Shortly after leaving Holwerd it collided with a dredger ‘ZEELAND’. With damage to the port side and a defective bow valve, returned to Holwerd to unload cars and continued to Ameland with passengers.
08-12-2010:  Arrived at Shipdock Harlingen B.V. for repairs.
02-04-2012:Caught fire in the engine room due to a leak in the Schottel’s hydraulic hose. Passengers were escorted to the car deck by the crew and were able to leave the ship safely via the car bridge. The day after the fire, the ‘MONNIK’ arrived from Lauwersoog to take over the extra departures.
23-06-2023:Significant damage sustained due to the shallow channel and has been temporarily taken out of use for repairs.
