| 10-04-2011: | En route from IJmuiden to Halmsta, loaded with steel rolls, ran aground on a sandbank off Skagen. The grounding was undramatic as the seabed largely consists of sandy bottom. The ship has been authorized to try to get free of the sandbank with the high tide on Apr 11. The North Jutland Police came out with the help of Skagen Rescue Station and checked the ship and crew. Drug tests were negative, so the grounding was therefore considered an accident. |
